Greater Cleveland Food Bank

Overview

We thank our partner agencies for their hard work and compassion in providing food to hungry neighbors, children and families in your communities.

In the last year, the Greater Cleveland Food Bank made possible over 57 million meals to those in need! We are proud to work with our partner agencies in the fight against hunger in Ashland, Ashtabula, Cuyahoga, Geauga, Lake and Richland counties.

The Food Bank provides food and non-food items to over 940 partner agencies and programs. These programs include pantries, on-site meal providers, shelters and other non-profit organizations including children’s after school programs, senior programs and rehabilitation programs.

All new partners must fill out an application, complete a site visit, and attend an extensive orientation before ordering and distributing food. Applications are subject to approval by Food Bank staff. All minimum application requirements must be met to be considered for partnership.

Working with the Greater Cleveland Food Bank to stock their shelves allows community hunger relief programs to stretch their dollars, providing more food for more people in need. The Food Bank distributes USDA (United States Department of Agriculture) and OFP (Ohio Food Program) products at no charge to our member agencies. In addition, fresh produce, dairy and bread products are distributed at no charge. The Food Bank also purchases food and receives donated product which partner agencies can order off of our shopping list.
