Miriam came to the United States from the Ukraine in 1992 with her family, including children and grandchildren. Now “86 years young,” Miriam and her husband are able to enjoy nutritious meals thanks to friends like you.
“We are not alone. We have a roof over our heads; we have people who care. This is fantastic,” Miriam says with a smile. To her and her husband, the kindness and compassion you give is something they’re extremely grateful for. Miriam and her husband receive food at their senior apartment building from the Kosher Food Pantry, a partner agency of the Greater Cleveland Food Bank.
“We are old, we can’t drive. My hearing is bad, my vision is awful,” she explains. “And now, something good happened. We appreciate that some people gave for other people.”
Thank you for supporting programs that help seniors like Miriam stay healthy!
