Henry and Catherine have been going to their local produce distribution in Shaker Heights for over two years. They’re very pleased they are with the service and, to them, helping people in need is very important.
Catherine was diagnosed with a brain tumor and has been going through treatment. Henry has been taking care of his mom of 80 years old who has dementia. Catherine is currently unemployed and was unemployed even before she got sick. Between taking care of his mother and Catherine, Henry doesn’t have a time for a full-time job. They receive SNAP, but it’s still not enough to make ends meet. They are glad the produce distribution is there for them to get supplemental help with food.
Catherine loves to cook and is very happy with the produce she receives. To express their gratitude they said, “How blessed we are that people come together to donate.”
Thanks to Food Bank donors, Catherine and Henry are getting the support they need.
