15 Ways Volunteers Can Help

Thank you for donating your time to the Greater Cleveland Food Bank and for your interested in giving back further. Below are a list of ways that you can help ensure everyone in our communities has the nutritious food they need every day.

1 - Donate to the Food Bank online or in person. Every $1 you give can help provide four meals!

2 - Volunteer your skills and time. Special skill-based volunteers give their time in non-traditional volunteer roles with staff time and support. Contact our Volunteer Services Department or click here for more information.

3 - Follow us on Social Media. Stay update with all that’s happening at the Food Bank at www.Facebook.com/ClevelandFoodBank and follow us on Twitter and Instagram @clefoodbank.

4 - Sign up for our e-newsletter. Get our Bite by Bite e-newsletters and other important information straight to your inbox! Visit www.GreaterClevelandFoodBank.org/SignUp

5 - Become an Advocate. It’s as simple as joining our Advocacy Network! We’ll let you know when it’s time to act on important food policies and we’ll help you contact your elected representatives. Join at www.GreaterClevelandFoodBank.org/TakeAction.

6 - Start a Virtual Food Drive or Facebook Fundraiser. You can help raise vital funds from friends and family to support the Food Bank! Virtual Food Drives are easy to create and manage. 7 - Bring your Friends and Family to Volunteer. Volunteer shifts are available six days per week at times that can fit almost any schedule! Twice per month, we host family nights that welcome children age 6 and up, accompanied by parents or guardians, to volunteer in our repack room. Contact our Volunteer Services Department for more information.

8 - Get your coworkers involved in a Workplace Giving Campaign. There are many creative ways for companies and their employees to support the Food Bank! Learn more at www.GreaterClevelandFoodBank.org/Corps.

9 - Support the Harvest for Hunger Campaign. Each year, the Greater Cleveland Food Bank and our three Northeast Ohio Food Bank partners work to raise vital funds and food to support people in need in a 21-county area. Learn more at www.GreaterClevelandFoodBank.org/Harvest.

10 - Attend an event supporting the Food Bank. There are numerous events and campaigns in the community supporting the Food Bank. To find an event, please visit www.GreaterClevelandFoodBank.org/Events.

11- Join the YP Pantry. Are you a young professional? Join our YP Pantry for exclusive volunteer experiences, free or reduced price event tickets, lunch and learns, happy hours, and incredible networking opportunities. Learn more at www.GreaterClevelandFoodBank.org/YPPantry

12 - Honor a loved one with a gift. If you’re out of ideas for a gift or are looking to honor someone in your life, a donation to the Greater Cleveland Food Bank is a great options! When every dollar helps provide four meals, you know the impact the honor will have.
