January 2019 Deep Freeze
Temperatures in Northeast Ohio will drop into the negatives this week and wind chills will drop even further. The Greater Cleveland community is prepared to help those in need during this freeze.
Northeast Ohio Coalition for the Homeless (NEOCH)
NEOCH is coordinating outreach efforts to find people on the street and offer transportation to a shelter. Their outreach workers have been working to warn people of the cold temperatures and will be working on the coldest nights to check in on people and get them to shelters.
The City Mission

Laura's Home Women's Crisis Center will be open to anyone in need of help. Please call 216.472.5500 or go to 18120 Puritas Avenue, Cleveland, OH 44135. No one will be turned away or required to leave the facility during the day.
Coordinated Intake - Cuyahoga County Homeless Services
Coordinated intake is the front door to emergecny shelter for people with no place to safely sleep. If you are newly homeless and in need of shelter, please visited Coordinated Intake 8 am to 8 pm Monday through Friday at 1736 Superior Avenue, 2nd Floor, Cleveland OH 44114. Men's Shelter at 2100 Lakeside
Single men are welcome at 2100 Lakeside Avenue, Cleveland, OH 44114. As usual, no one in need will be turned away. The shelter will allow all guests to stay during the day as well.
The Metanoia Project
Extended service hours are being offered at the Metanoia Project for any adult in need of shelter. Meals are served Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Please go to 2459 Washington Avenue, Cleveland, OH 44113. Extended hours:
- Tuesday 1/29 - 7pm to 7am the following day
- Wednesday 1/30 - 3pm to 7am the following day
- Thursday 1/31 - 3pm to 7am the following day

Norma Herr Women's Center
Single woman are welcome at the Norma Herr Woman's Center at 2227 Payne Avenue, Cleveland, OH 44114. Stay tuned for additional information.
The Bishop Cosgrove Center
The facility is open from 8 am to 3 pm. Breakfast is served from 8 am to 9 am and lunch is served from 12 pm to 1:30 pm. Drop-in at 1736 Superior Avenue East, Cleveland OH 44114.
